The year is 1939. . . . In the newspaper are these clippings.
In France there are many men putting themselves on the boarder of Germany. Giving their lives to keep France from the terrors of Germany. Hitler has come with troops and are trying to push their way into France. Only the honorable troops keep them at bay. They are terrifying moments when they have hand to hand combat. Many French lose their lives. Then some get wounded. Where do they go?
"They come to me. Welcome to France's military medical tents. Where men come in badly wounded and come back with their gun in their hand, ready to go back into combat. They stay awhile and get rested up. In the hands of mine and some nurses. They are the best of the best and the few that don't make it out are always on our minds. There are some that urge us to go faster to do better. Yet, how can we go faster when we are the best in the country? We get American surgeons, nurses, doctors. Americans are the best right?. . . "
Always keep them laughing, thats what most say. Yet, can laughter be the only medicine?
"Laughter is what keep these mens fighting. They hear a good joke, they tell their buddies. Urging themselves to live to tell their buddies. Laughter can't be4 the only medicine, but it sure heps.. . "
Welcome to France. Where the war is still battling it out, and were Germany is on the losing end. As the French always say, "Accueillir en France. Apprendre à nous aimer et aide nous a battus la merde d'Allemagne."
